Watering Times:  Please do not water between Noon and 5:00 pm during the day and Midnight and 5:00 am at night. Last winter Clarkston received a below average snowpack in our mountains. Clarkston’s water resource depends on the snowpack level being at or, preferably, above average to meet culinary water needs each year. At present, Clarkston’s intake is meeting our needs. However, to ensure we maintain levels to address any unforeseen emergency, we ask that you do not water between the hours above. This will help ensure our reservoirs have time to refill and maintain levels adequate to address emergencies.

Proposed 911 Increase

Proposal to Increase 911 Fee

The Cache Valley Dispatch Center dispatches  all 1st responder (police/fire) calls in Cache Valley, Utah State University and the Utah Highway Patrol. The following are reasons for the proposed rate increase:

  • Income/expenses narrowing (only $8k surplus last year)
  • They haven’t had a rate increase for 23 Years (except for the $1 fee adopted in 2013 for radio upgrades).
  • Average Inflationary Rate of 14% for the past two years
  • People/Technology/Equipment increasingly expensive
  • Increased wages/benefits to keep and secure employees
  • More Customers, more calls but no increase in personnel

(2011 – 39,000+ calls dispatched in 2024 – 58,000+ calls dispatched)

They are proposing the following increase to 911 residential fees over the next five years:

  • 2025 – 10% increase on the current $3 dollar rate for 2025 ($.30 Increase per month/per residence which would increase the rate to $3.30 per month).
  • 2026 – 3% increase ($.09 cent increase/$3.39 per month)
  • 2027 – 3% increase ($10.1 cent increase/$3.50 per month)
  • 2028 – 3% increase ($10.5 cent increase/$3.60 per month)
  • 2029 – 3% increase ($10.8 cent increase/$3.71 per month)

If approved, the proposed increase for 2025 will begin July 2025.
