Green Waste Dumpster Removed for the Season: Monday Oct. 13, 2025: Thank you to all those who have contacted me to make suggestions; your feedback is critical and greatly appreciated as we try to work through the decision-making process. A couple years ago when we sent out the survey there were only a few more in favor of green waste than not. We will keep you posted and will likely conduct another survey after the first of the year.  If you have questions please don’t hesitate to reach out and please keep the suggestions coming. Mayor Hidalgo   Wednesday Oct. 8, 2025:  The attached pictures are an example of continued problems we are experiencing with the placement of material that is not green waste. Other issues have been root balls, fence posts, gravel, railroad ties, animal stall material, and building material. When non green waste material is placed in the dumpster it must be taken to the landfill where tonnage costs are much higher.  Due to increased costs at the landfill and the cost of misuse, the Town Council is discussing if it is in the best interest of Clarkston to continue the green waste program and if so, how do we monitor what is placed in it. I would like to thank T&S for providing this service, at cost, plus tonnage. Without their generosity it would have cost the citizens much more than is being charged. Mayor Hidalgo
